We grew two great pumpkins on the allotment.
We made spicy soup with the scooped out flesh of the Jack O'Lantern and found this recipe by Matt Tebbett on BBC.

We fiddled about as usual; used passata instead of tinned tomatoes as DP does not like them, used more sage, added thyme and substituted Cauldron Lincolnshire sausages as we are veggies.

It was lovely with mashed potatoes and parsnips and peas.

Just thought I'd share in case anyone else has pumpkin to use up.

I still have some pumpkin to use up. So far I have made a soup and a casserole (was bit similar to the recipe in your link but I just kind of bunged in a load of stuff rather than by recipe). I also made savory pancakes stuffed with pumpkin (usually use other veg but being as so much pumpkin lying about!)

DH grew some in the garden but we also bought one from the farm as the garden ones were quite small and the dc wanted to do a big face on one for halloween.

Am thinking of maybe trying a pumpkin pie. anyone know of good recipe for that? Never tried it before myself.
