I have 20 bananas in my freezer! That's a lot of banana bread. What else can I do with them?

DD has a habit of eating half a banana. Or not eating them at all, and now my freezer is bursting with them. What on earth can I do with them? I can't bake, or eat, that much banana bread!

I could! Three or four bananas in each loaf, it'll only take a few weeks to get through them!

Failing that, banana pancakes? Banoffee pie?

Banana smoothies, banana ice cream (just add frozen nanas to yoghurt and liquidise - instant ice cream)

Baked in foil with a bit of chocolate inside :)

Or stirred in to porridge

or just plain and simple frozen banana - the healthy alternative to an ice lolly.

vegan banana ice cream, break the bananas into about 4 pieces and pop into food processor, usually 1 banana per person. At first the blades just chop finely, then it turns into cream, serve immediately as banana ice cream or add cocoa to make chocolate ice cream.. very healthy our kids love it!

Banana muffins.

Nigella has a recipe in Express for frozen banana smoothies with added milk, peanut butter and Horlicks. I think it's delicious, and highly nutricious for a quick breakfast on the run for growing children, but unfortunately my DCs disagree.

There are some great ideas there - thank you. Can't wait to try the ice cream. And at least that can't go wrong. Just made banana bread and accidentally added twice the amount of butter required! Bloomin' baby brain!

Oh should say.. when making the banana ice cream bananas MUST be frozen do not defrost! I freeze them without skins :-) enjoy
