How long to cook salmon... I have no idea?

Wondered if anyone can help me. I want to cook some salmon in the oven wrapped in foil to eat cold with salad. It is a large fillet of salmon 1.6 kg and is skinless and boneless.

I am guessing to loosly wrap with oiled foil in the oven for about 20 mins. My oven is not a fan oven. Would I put it in at about 180?

Hope someone can help me as I have a big dinner party and don't want to over or undercook the salmon!

Thanks

I would do 20 mins for a small piece so you might want to do a bit longer for a piece that big. By the way if you have a pan big enough it always tastes better steamed Wink

Thanks. I have a big pan but have no idea how I would steam it. Do I put a bit of water at the bottom of the pan?

Do you think 30 mins would be long enough, and do you think at 180?

As you can tell, I am not much of a cook!

I would do it higher - maybe 200.
