Parkin recipe, can I bake this in a round tin?

I want to make this Delias parkin for bonfire night.

I need to make it in advance but don't want to have to buy a square tin, would a round one be ok?

haven't made this particular recipe but in theory a 9 inch or 22cm round tin should do the job

I only have an 8 inch round tin

Might need a bit longer in the over that's all. Just check it is cooked through with a skewer
