Veggie alternative to sausages for school bonfire night?

mrspink27 · 20/10/2010 14:35

I am trying to think of an alternative to the manky veggie sausages usually served at the PTA bonfire night. We trialled tomato soup last year but it didnt prove very popular. There must be a simple alternative? Any ideas?
TIA

Big fat flat mushrooms grilled with some garlic and parsley and butter - to be eaten in a cob with fried onions?

Or do baked potatoes stuffed with sauteed leeks and cheese and then baked again.

There are nice veggie sausages

Cor...the big mushroom idea sounds delicious.

I second the idea of veggie kebabs, maybe with cubes of halloumi on.
