Can I use Muscovado sugar instead of Demerara in a chutney?

Wanted to make Delia's Christmas chutney today and discovered I only have Muscovado sugar. Dark and light. But no Demerara. Will it make much difference?

I would use the light muscovado, maybe mixed with a little white sugar to lighten it a bit.
