just about to prepare a feast fit for a king (dp of course) of sheperds pie, have just discoved that my mushrooms had a end of life day of 5th sept.

am i likely to subject my family to a weekend of violent stomach cramps if i throw them in with the mince??

I'd still use them older than that. If they are past it then you will find that they are rubbery when you try to slice them. Still won't do any harm, but won't be as nice. If not rubbery then definitely fine.

Yes they should be fine as long as they dont smell as if they are decomposing.

Yes.

as long as they are wrinkly and not slimy and decomposing they should be fine.
