birthday cake for pony-obsessed dd (8) - mother with limited baking skills

Any ideas for creating a simple pony-themed cake for dd's birthday? I need to get it sorted this afternoon as we're out all day on Saturday, coming back to the house for tea with a couple of friends and all the cousins (and assorted aunts/uncles/g-parents) so will need to be organised (eek) before then

thanks

cover cake with green icing and get tiny plastic/rubbery horses?

SHape a horses head from cake cover in brown icing lighter brown or liqorice for mane , eyes nose etc.

Yes, i'd do a grass effect icing, and then make some jumps out of cocktail sticks and add some model horses

I made a horse's head once by cutting the shape out of a rectangular cake and using liquorice to make the bridle. I think the mane was made from cadbury flakes.

I like Lemonades idea. Dessicated coconut died green and dried out in a cool oven or airing cupboard makes excellent grass.

I had a stable as a child - jumps out of matchmakers, green icing, sugar flowers and toy ponies.

The easiest would be a head tbh, easy to pipe a mane or use sweets.
