Try get a lower salt ketchup!!
As long as they eat I dont worry. I think we all get a little hung up about food!

QueenOfQuotes · 05/09/2005 16:59

option 2 without a doubt

NannyL · 05/09/2005 20:13

number 2

the gradually wean them off the sauce!

WideWebWitch · 05/09/2005 20:18

Tomato sauce isn't bad for you. Sure, it's got some sugar in it but cooked tomatoes are better for you than raw tomatoes and contain loads of lycopene, which is thought to have protective properties against cancer. So I'd say b!

beehive · 05/09/2005 21:13

get organic tomato sauce, as the lycopene content is apparently higher. my children also have ketchup on everything!

gigglinggoblin · 05/09/2005 21:14

thats good, i have been allowing him to use the tom sauce bottle himself and thats probably been making up 50% of his food intake - but at least now he has a food intake!

Funny, i was asking myself the same question today as ds was dipping lamb chops & jacket potato in Salad cream. Usually it's ketchup though.

Tommy · 05/09/2005 21:27

I used to have ketchup on everything - including Christmas dinners and the like but I have weaned myself off it and now only have it on chips, and shepherds pie, and mashed spuds in general, and burgers, hotdogs......

My sister still has it on everything though!

Suzyfloozypuddingandpie · 05/09/2005 21:31

ketchup is good for you. And if it means they are getting more nutrients from the stuff it is plastered on - all the better!

Both the same i think - you can hide plenty veg in spag bol for nutrients. b you sort of get more variety but then again will all taste of ketchup anyway. No real difference in goodness nutrients etc to my mind. Choose path of least resistance on that one i think!

Passionflower · 06/09/2005 22:01

B for sure!

Flum · 07/09/2005 00:55

They survive whatever don't they. Tomato sauce rules!! I even have it with my Christmas dinner.
