I've got about 125 grams of Mascapone cheese left over after making dessert tongiht. Any ideas what else I can make with it? Preferably savoury dish.

TIA

It is nice stirred into a plain tomato sauce, as it lightens it and gives it a creamy texture. Sorry, not a very exciting suggestion.

a seafood tagliatelle

Mascarpone is lovely stirred into a rissotto, right at the end of cooking; it's nice made into cheese and potato pie as well. Or you can use it in veg lasagne instead of ricotta cheese.

think I'll go with the suggestion from merrygoround as was planning on doing something with chicken and pasta tomorrow night so now it will be chicken, pasta and a tomato and mascapone sauce. Sounds lovely. thank you all.

I know you said savoury, but my favourite ever mascarpone recipe is with plums.

Half and stone the plums, put a blob of mascarpone in the wee hole, sprinkle with brown sugar and then grill until golden brown.

Yum yum yum

Stuff savoury, melt it with an equal amount of plain chocolate, pour into ramekin dish(es) and leave to set.
