HELP! Madeira cake advice please urgent!

OK, I have a not ideal dish tomake my cake in (but it will have to do) it is just over 10" by 10" and about 2.5" deep.

So the question is can anyone help me with a (yummy) recipe to fit this!!

is this to eat as is or is it to be shaped and iced?

cut up into shapes (but squares and rectangles) and iced yes!

sorry for the late post but ds1 needed my laptop for his homework!
this is debbie brown's recipe:-

160oc/325f/gas mark 3

350g butter or marg
350g caster sugar
350g sr flour
175g pl flour
6 eggs
grated rind of two lemons

bake for 1 hour or until well risen,firm to touch etc

NB. do not peel off the lining paper when the cake is cold,but wrap in foil or an airtight container for at least 12 hours before cutting
