I have found my nans recipe for CHOCOLATE CONCRETE, anyone want it ??

We used to have to put our order in by friday if we wanted a bathc for the sunday.

I ran gmy dad earlier and told him i'd found it and he was over the moon ,it was that nice.

So, anyone want me to type it out ?

Ok here goes...

8oz Plain or SR flour
2oz Cocoa powder
4oz Sugar
4oz Melted Marg

Mix all dry ingrediants together and add melted marg (which must be runny).
Mix well until mixture is fairly stiff. Press into a 7inch sponge tin.
Brush top with water and sprinkle with sugar.

Cook for 30 minutes at ..

Electric 340 (don't know what the equiv is need to find out)

Gas mark 2 1/2 approx

You must have had it at school. It's like a really rock hard chocolate cake although sometimes it is a bit soft depending on who cooked it i think.

It is fantastic.

We used to call it "sh*t with sugar on" when we had it at school ... it was always served with pink or green custard which usually had a two-inch thick skin on top.

The pink stuff was particularly vile, the mint was marginally better but that's not saying much!
