Evaporated milk left over, what can I do with it?

I've just made Nigella's Birthday milk chocolate cake with rather dubious icing.

It called for evaporated milk, so I've now got half a tin left over.
Any ideas what I can do with it (apart from just spoon it down!)

Put it in your coffee. Yum!

It's yummy in coffee. or what about Soupdragon's flapjacks?

Its good in rice pudding or my mum used to make custard with it

Or Nigella uses it in the cheese sauce for macaroni cheese.

In cheese sauce? Really? Wow. Learn something new etc..

You can freeze it. I use it to make a fudge sauce for ice-cream, which takes about 4 tablespoons and obviously loads left over. I freeze in an ice-cube tray each cube being 2 spoons, but you could just freeze the whole lot for when you next make the same recipe.

Apparently its to give it that synthetic mac'n'cheese taste.

Or pour it over some nice tinned peaches - now thats a pudding I remember having lots at grandparents.

Add to a jelly to make milk jelly.

I would just drink it straight out of the can

Make a korma. soften onions & garlic. Blend with a dollop of curry paste and the evaporated milk. Add some fried meat/veg and rice = yummy korma!!

Good ideas, I'm sure I'll end up buying more just to experiment with all of these now.

I have had enough spoonfuls so far but think I'll have coffee now whilst I deliberate.

BTW the cake was bloody awful especially the icing. Last time I'll use St Nigella's recipes.

I might get a squeezey tube now specifically for coffee. It's lovely!
