Beef Brisket in a slow cooker?

I have done it the oven before and it was foul. My Dad assures me it is one of the nicest cuts of beef when it is cooked properly and slowly.

But for how long and on what heat? It's for lunch tomorrow. I just want to cook it with some stock.

Yum yum i loooove this!

Right, stick your lump of briskert n your slow cooker, put water in sp goes up about halfway round brisket, put it on low light for about 6 - 8 hrs if small / med piece or about 12 hours if a big piece, but about half way thruogh turn your brisket over.

Should be v v tender when ts done, then (and this is either gross or gorgoeus depending on how healthy you are.. ia m not healthy, as you shall see.. Grin )..

Pour all the liquid from the slow cooker into a pan (water, jiuces, fat, bits of meat etc, the lot), sling in a tin of easy onions (delia cheat, fab and time saving), then about 1 pint of nice gravy granules mixed up (but chuck an extra tb sp in to make it thik, and squidge of tomtato puree, mix together while it cok, and there's your gravy.

we do this, then i slivce brisket, put it in platic tubs and pour gravy on and freeze, it freezes really well.

mix togther while it cooks, not cok Blush
