A steak with garlic mash potatoes from The Keg Steakhouse, Canada.
also Spaghetti and Meatballs and Spumoni ice cream from the old Spaghetti Factory restaurant, also in Canada.
And Tim Hortons for breakfast, why don't we have breakfast places like that here in the UK I ask you. Their breakfast bagels are fab as are their donuts and cinnamon buns.

funnel cakes are nice too,had them in Florida.

Better stop I'm making myself hungry now.

Alioli, Kiri soft cheese, jamon and cucumber with the skin peeled off all with nice crusty bread in Spain. Maybe with a nice cold beer on the side. Also churros and hot chocolate.

BornToFolk · 24/08/2010 16:16

Cheese pies and Mythos beer in a frosty glass.
And ouzo. It never tastes right at home.

I know what your DH means about Chinese/Indian. I lived in France for a year as a student and savd up to got to the town's finest Chinese restaurant. It was not Chinese as we in England know it!

tb · 25/08/2010 19:13

Yes, frogs' legs with lemon grass aren't quite the same as anything with black bean sauce, in my book.
