How many packets of cereal have you got in your cupboard and what are they?

Currently we have

ALPEN (for me)
Oats so simple (for me)
Golden Nuggets (ds1)
Coco Pop Rocks (ds2)

I managed to get rid of a couple of old things last week so it is not too bad but there have been times when I have 7 or 8 packs on the go.

What do your children like as I think we stick to the same old thing.

DS like Cookie Crisp too which is very sugary imo but he is a fusspot!

Special K (mine)
Rice Crispies
cheerios (both DC's)

TitsalinaBumSquash · 23/08/2010 09:48

I have about a million, its mainly DP that eats cereal, DS1 and 3 used to but have decided they dont like it anymore Hmm

Most the boxes have 1 small bowls worth left in them, its a silent battle between me and DP, i refuse to buy anymore all the time he is leaving empty boxes in the cupboard, he says there isnt enough in them to eat so im waiting until he uses his brain and bins them.

We have a vairety of Rice Crispies, Cornflakes, Coco pops, Cinnamon Grahams and about 6 boxes of Oats so simple.

I must try and make our cereals a bit healthier.

I wonder when I stepped over into the dark side and let ds have sugary cereals. As a baby he ate weetabix and porridge and now....eeek! horrible sugary things..........

gorionine · 23/08/2010 13:36

Sorry, Mugglewump, it was my clumsy way to actually pinch a recipe from youSmile.

serenity · 23/08/2010 13:45

Tesco brand Frosties and (I think) some left over Lidl brand 'Oat so simple' from the winter. We tend to swap between fake frosties and Tesco's Strawberry Crumble (or the Lidl version, depending on where I'm shopping)

I generally refuse to buy new boxes of cereal until the old one is finished as I hate throwing away stale half boxes of cereal because they've got bored with them.

Rockbird · 23/08/2010 13:50

Fruit and fibre - DH
Porridge oats - Me
Cheerios (precisely 6) - DD

Usually we have more but I'm on strike now. They can eat that first. Too many boxes hanging round get on my tits.
