i brought a quiche and frozed it the other day as it said freezeable. Generally it has cooking instructions about cooking from frozen by adding a extra 20 mins. Just taking it out now to cook but it doesn't say about cooking it form frozen do think its safe to or not??? Can't see that its deifferent to any other quiche.

It will be perfectly safe, but you need to make sure it's cooked all the way through.

Have you got time to defrost it in the microwave first?

if not, just add the 20 minutes on to the cooking time and keep checking to make sure that it's not burning.

When you take it out of the oven, insert a skewer or thin-bladed knife into the centre, and check how hot it is.

I have a quiche in the freezer that says it needs to be defrosted for 24 hours in the fridge before cooking. I wouldn't cook a quiche from frozen unless it specifically said it can be.

There is no reason not to cook from frozen - all the ingredients in the quiche will already be cooked - the only issue is to make sure it's hot enough

Ah thanks for the quick replies. I know generally it says you cancook from frozen. I just assummed that because it was freezable the cooking method would be the same. Although on this quiche it doesnt say ah well il take the risk its only cheese and onion anyhow i live dangerously for once lol
