Breakfast - i think ordinary porridge is ok now. Or buy the baby porridge?

I used to spend a day cooking loads of different vegetables, puree and freeze in ice cube trays. Move into sandwich bags once frozen so you have the trays back to fill again.
Then each morning take out a few cubes for lunch and a few for dinner, leave in bowls in the fridge to defrost. That way you can mix and match if you see what i mean.

Also i would cook extra veg with for mine and dp's dinner each evening and she'd eat that with us and any leftover would go in the freezer.

i have a ds i am weaning...we have doen the freezing and pureeing thing and have [arsnip, pear, apple, carrot, courgette, broccolli, cauli, squash, sweet potato....i also have plums waiting to "do" and i have a few jars of baby food as emergancies (extra when we are out incase of leakage/dislikes etc) and to know what consistancy i am supposed to puree to.

I started weaning with baby rice so i have tons of that left which i give for breakfast with mashed banana or an icecubes worth of pear/apple.

at 6 months they can have things like pasta and things that jhave gluten and wheat in them.

Like someone has suggested i would cook extra veg when u cook for the family (in non salted water) and puree and freeze them in ice cube trays, you could do the same with potatoes.....i have read not to freeze banana and avocado (Annabel Karmel)

Not too sure when they can have meat as i haven't got the book to hand sorry.

hope that helped a little? I started to gove my ds1 weetabix for breakfast at about 7 months....you can use whole cows milk in cooking from 6 months so makes it easier

sorry to waffle

Sweet potato was both my kids favourite.

At 5 months I would give baby rice and just fruit and veg. But try lots of other varieties - avacado, pear, peach, papaya, cauliflower, brocolli, sweet potato, ordinary potato, swede etc and mix a couple together. Also I used to give baby porridge (Boots own) for breakfast until 6 months.

Then at 6 months I moved onto readybrek for breakfast and started introducing other foods including finger foods.
