Is sticky tofffee pudding supposed to rise much?

..cause mine hasn't really. It is springy to touch but hasn't really risen much. Is this how it's meant to be by any chance? [grasping at straws emoticon]

Oh yes definitely; mine rises like crazy it's the bicarb that does it.
