This is really just an unashamed attempt to garner more ideas to feed my lad. What foods does your fussy child almost always agree to?
For us thankfully it is semi healthy
Felaffel patties and crackers and hummus (1yr old).

my dd loved weetabix and toast and marmite, infact she still does and has had toast and marmite every day for 3 or so years.

unfortunately breakfast biscuits are almost always destined to go to the dog and he has to be in "the mood for toast"

What about bannanas and raisins something little he can mulch.

yawningmonster · 28/08/2005 10:26

raisins kinda work, he picks them up carefully one by one and slots them in grinning the whole time, finally the last one goes in and he chews a bit and then out the whole lot comes, so I guess he at least gets raisin juice. I havent tried bananas as he gets constipated and have heard these can make this worse?. Keep ideas rolling though, and dont forget lunch...am going to try sweet and sour for supper tomorrow, mostly because dh and I love it so will see how he goes

dd used to love shepherds pie and fish pie. She also loved baked potato with beans, cauliflower cheese, macaroni cheese.

yawningmonster · 28/08/2005 10:40

mmm, fish pie will def try that, sheps pie is apparently the dogs favourite, at least one member of the family likes my cooking

Nixz · 28/08/2005 11:34

for breakfast - my dd lurrrrrves a banana mashed into yoghurt - its a breakfast if they have to be somewhere early.
I made homemade ice cream/ice lollies during the summer with fruit, yoghurt or milk and she munched on them a lot aswell.
Bananas mashed into toast is another one.

yawningmonster · 28/08/2005 11:36

thanks Nix unfortunately bananas and yoghurt are both out in this household

the dog loved the sweet and sour, has been a while since I tried pancakes so will give them another go, this mornings toast was rather cleverly plastered to the underside of the highchair (I was so exicited I thought he had eaten it right up to when I flipped back the tray and it came flying off to land face down on the carpet, any good tips for getting marg and marmite off carpet anyone....

arrgh feel like I have multiple personality, I hereby officially give up totally on trying to change my name for a thread whilst still trying to be "me" on the others, going back to being good old sleepyhead from now on.
