I've consulted my diary from 1976 when I was 15. I always, for some inexplicable reason, put what we had for dinner. We had a lot of milk jellies, junket and my Mum used to do the chocolate chip thing that I continue to do. Dip packet of choc chip biscuits in sherry, sandwich together with cream, roll in clingfilm and leave in fridge. Cover whole thing in whipped cream and sprinkle flake on top. Butterscotch angel delight and baked apples/bananas also feature a lot. Oh, and we apparently ate a lot of 'moose'.

I loveou Maureen - I read the title and thought 'pineapple upside down cake' Grin

Anything with Dream Topping was 'pud' for us in the 70's.

Ususally a tin of slippery peaches in syrup and dream topping.

I've gone for a black forest gateaux, DH hates lemon meringue pie and I didn't quite have the guts for Angel Delight - i didn't know the butterscotch one existed until I started on here, we always had the pink one

I'm sure there was lots about 70s puds, but I'm afraid I was too busy lusting after Giles Coren to remember anything about the food.

Oh bother, didn't realise you'd already done it! Blush
