My fryer that I use for fish & chip night has leaked all over the cupboard!!

What else shall I do with the 2 big pieces of fish I was going to cut up & use for fish & chips?

tia for any suggestions, have to nip out & then bake with dd1 but I will be back later Smile

As for the fish, how about frying them in a saucepan with about an inch of oil in it. About the same as deep frying then, if you turn it halfway through.

Or, you could just do flour, egg, breadcrumbs and bake them or grill? Like fish fingers kind of!

I do the same as smash09 but flour egg and semolina and not so much oil. Not too many in the pan if you want a nice crispy coating.

Thankfully I had a load of ratty old towels that were going in the bin so mopped up the worst of it with them before chucking them & the rest cleaned out with a lot of elbow grease & quite a bit of Fairy!

flour, egg & breadcrumbs it will be this evening & shallow fry. I usually batter them & found the fryer easier but I've gained quite a bit of cupboard space not having it in there so might not bother with a new one
