my daughter is 13 months now and in the last week she has started just spitting out the food that isnt sweet (and even some of that).

bit of history- weaning her was quite difficult (compared to her older brother)she did not seem to like much and was more than 8 months before she was eating three small meals.

Things seemed to be going well for the last
couple of months but now she has become very fussy- she just seems to spit loads out, (she could not be full as she will go on to eat other things she likes.

She likes finger fedding herself so i give her lots to do that with- but there is only so much you can do this with.

why is she spitting out and what can i do to encourage her to eat more? I give her a spoon which worked for a buit but she doesnt want that now.

by the way, by sweet things i mean strawberries or bananas etc, not biscuits!

My 15 mo started doing this at about the same age with all fruit and veg, but he's stopped just as quickly. Hopefully one of those 'phase' things. Try not to react too much, she might just move on!

i know, i have been getting pretty upset, so need to try and give her more to feed herself with and relax (not my forte) . how long did it last?

Sorry for delay! It only lasted a couple of weeks, hope it will be the same for you. Wiping up half chewed cherry tomatoes isn't my fave pastime.

thanks faffmaff- need to reassure myself it will end!

anyone else got any pearls of wisdom?
