Urgent advice re: beef fajitas?

How can I make the beef soft quickly?

Normally I cook beef for hours but fajitas are meant to be a quick meal, so wonder if there are any quick fix tricks?

Marinade it, cover with clingfilm / put in food bag, take a rolling pin and bash with all your might.

what cut of beef did you get? should be good quality ie steak. If not cut it very very thin indeed and cook very briefly.

Really, never tried that but will give it a go next time, the beef turned out nice and not chewey...
