Spag bol ?

I'd do something pasta-y with a tomato sauce and grated cheese.

I made meat balls & they are the easiest things ever ! Just mix about 500g of mince with slice of bread, bit of garlic & a beaten egg, then bake in the oven. I grated up a carrot as well -try & get the veggies in. I freeze them & then defrost & cook in a tomato sauce. DH loves 'em too !

mojomummy - do you cook em before freezing or freeze them raw, ready for cooking?

pork mince, 2 slices wholemeal bread in breadcrumbs, an egg, chopped up finely spring onions and a couple large tablespoons of apple sauce.

Mix all together them shape in to balls or burgers

cook under the grill

yummy

I added grated apple to mine too, just to get some vits into my DS. He loved them

there's a recipe in Nigel Slater's Appetite for meatballs without a sauce - I think it is something like: you chop up mushrooms, onions and garlic, grate some meltable cheese and mix everything in with the pork mince. Season it and add some herbs (e.g. thyme). Roll into walnut-sized balls and fry in oil. Dead quick.

Oops, sorry been busy tonight

I cooked them in sunflower oil in the oven (smelled yummy & I'm veggie!) & then cooled them & froze them in little bags. DD eats 3 with the tomato sauce ( tin of toms, bit of apple juice, basil & garlic). I take them out of the freezer in the am to defrost & then just heat them through in the sauce & maybe add some peas & corn &/or wholemeal pasta

Oooh just read the other recipe - I added some grated cheese to. The recipe came from Gina Fords new cookbook - it's fab
