You can do the chocolate crispie things tonight, I just do it by guesswork, a whole load of rice crispies and then put in melted milk chocolate a little butter and some golden syrup. You will probably find a more exact recipe on the net. I would make the fairy cakes in the morning if I were you as they will be fresher. if you are icing them, you could make up the icing now and keep it in the fridge til tomorrow. They only take about 30 mins to make from start to finish!!

Have a good one

I could do with doing stuff as early as possible but a crispie recipe on here said they don't improve with time.

I am planning on icing the fairy cakes and then dipping them in 100s and 1000s but I rarely make icing so a bit nervous.

Thank you

Have found a Mrs Beeton recipe using rice crispies and sultanas mixed into melted chocolate. Last time I made them with just chocolate iirc they didn't firm up and stick.

Just another thought. Do the crispies have to be kept in the fridge?

No, I keep them in an airtight cake tin, they will go soft and fall apart in the fridge I think..(not absolutely sure though!!!)
