Twinset - If you see this, fwiw I think you were attacked unfairly. I understand totally why you feel the way you do. The poster in question was unecessarily rude and unkind when it was obvious you were already upset

FWIW although Im not keen on sending my ds to secondary school (variety of reasons) I have read before about your devotion to your job and I think you sound like a marvellous teacher.

TSAP- it's two days till half term, I'm sure you are weary and ready for a rest. I skurked on that thread ( half skimmed, half lurked).
Those of us who are lucky enough to work in superb schools know how fantastic the state system can be. I chortle as I pass the teeny weeny private school on the way home with its handkerchief sized playground and wonder what on earth the parents think they are getting for their money. However we are also pragmatic enough to realise that there are crap state schools and crap private schools out there. There are also some parents who will always choose to pay for an education for their kids for their own ==snobbery== personal preferences.
Let it go, I really don't think that it was meant to upset you. Your commitment to your kids shines through. sort out your bookcases and open the wine. Take care. x
