Dragonbrandybutter · 10/01/2009 00:44

oh, i'll tell you what i did manage to do with all my spare mumsnetting time...i wrote thankyou cards and happy new year cards (i knew i wouldn't get christmas ones done in time so i had my own new year cards printed).
i wrote 40 cards.... and posted them! ie. didn't just leave them hanging around in the car for a week.
impressed?

I did not read your burlesque thread db, but why would you get a beating? IMO it is a performing art and anyone that can do it deserves a star.

bellavita · 10/01/2009 00:47

I am not adopting a diet name, because I just might fail

Have put on about half a stone, but as I am only 5ft, every half pound shows.

CharCharGabor · 10/01/2009 00:48

Not bad thanks, will be even better once DD gets all the teeth she's whinging about Hope you feel better soon.

DragonLowFatSpread · 10/01/2009 00:49

burlesque thread
somebody started another thread taking the piss, and mumsnet deleted it and sent me a nice message.
not a big deal but i was feeling down and it got me at the wrong moment.

DragonLowFatSpread · 10/01/2009 00:50

does everybody own scales?
not the dragon type.
i don't know how much i weight, i suppose i should find out if i'm trying to lose weight.

being ill has messed with my sleeping pattern. and the steroids keep you awake too apparently.

not sure what to do with myself.
dum de dum.

bellavita · 10/01/2009 00:56

oh dear, that wasn't good was it.

Aitch · 10/01/2009 00:58
DragonLowFatSpread · 10/01/2009 00:58

not really.
went well on the first night, lots of people seeing the funny side and a bit of teasing but then went a bit wrong didn't it.

bellavita · 10/01/2009 00:58

I do have scales, but tend not to weigh myself very often.

I can tell by my clothes and I certainly need to get my backside in gear. If I can just lay of the biccies and chocs (and the baileys) then I should get back to normal.

DragonLowFatSpread · 10/01/2009 01:01

oh hi aitch.
i'm having a little gathering of mumsnetters.
it's so nice.
you can sit on that toadstool over there.

can't imagine this thread would keep anyone's attention for very long though, not controversial enough. oh well.

Aitch · 10/01/2009 01:05

it went wrong, that thread? yeeeikes. i thought the OP was hilarious, never got a chance to post on it thought DB, dd2 needed feedin'.

DragonLowFatSpread · 10/01/2009 01:08

it was a good thread.
worth a read.
it only really went wrong when another mumsnetter started a pisstake thread, then scarpered leaving me upset and angry.
i mean, who starts a thread like that then pisses off to bed?

bellavita · 10/01/2009 01:11

I am off to bed now db, was nice to talk to you

DragonLowFatSpread · 10/01/2009 01:14

ok, night.
i'm still wide awake though.

where is pavlov? i wanted to talk to her about my fave new shops in devon.

zazen · 10/01/2009 01:15

Willie!

Is that controversial enough?

nice to see you back DB Now mind that chest, and let your meds work.

I had that chesty thing since July last year and had to take three courses of steroids and five doses of anti-bods. And now I take an inhaler.. Turns out I had pneumonia, and developed asthma.. So DO REST, from one who is now has a lovely moon shaped face from the steroids.
I'd hold off going down to BnQ till next weekend, really. really really.

I am glad that other thread was pulled, it had a strange atmosphere.

Kerry - the question is DID you get a place for your DS after all that? I do hope so.

I don't think I've ever had a pork scratching in my entire life My Dh speaks of them with fondless - should I be worried?

DragonLowFatSpread · 10/01/2009 01:19

hi zazen.
thanks for the advice. it's so boring staying in though. i convinced myself i just had a cold until tuesday when i couldn't talk on the phone because i was so out of breath.

i'm not sure if i've had pork scratchings either. is it fried pig skin?

and kerrymum, did you get to go for a week in the five days or was it down to survival of the pelvic floors?

PavlovtheCat · 10/01/2009 01:36

You cant flounce anyway. We have not been to the Aquarium yet.

DragonLowFatSpread · 10/01/2009 01:40

i know.
have thought of you actually.
there's a new shop open on the barbican doing nice non-high street clothes.
and i also found FAB at the top of the high street in totnes doing Fever, Yumi, Uttam etc.
and they have some lovely stuff at dartington cider press if you look closely. i'm liking NancyMac.
anyway it was months ago that we talked about the shopping tragedy that is plymouth and thought of you when i found these places.

DragonLowFatSpread · 10/01/2009 01:40

Zazen, you are soooooo rude. Willie indeed.

PavlovtheCat · 10/01/2009 01:47

Dragon how lovely that you remembered me! Same when I walk past the Aquarium - 'wonder if Dragon is in there chasing monkeys in the ball park?'!!! What is this shop on the Barbican? I do not know it? Although I am currently very skint after my trip to New York at christmas - now THAT is a place to buy couture...if you have thousands to spend!!! (which I did not!).

I like Totnes, but find it overpriced. We have not been for a while, a trip is called for methinks!

Do you ever go into the toy shop at Dartington? I love it in there!
