I really do have much more important things to do today.
Make me flounce. Maybe in a strop so i can channel the adrenalin into housework and packing to go camping.
Do your worst.
Thanks.

urgh
now I really am going to clean the kitchen, and wash my hands as well

Dragonbutter · 25/07/2008 14:24

well, i've done the kitchen. the dishwashers done. done two loads of washing, put away a pile of clothes upstairs. and i'm washed and dressed and hair done.
wearing this if it's ok with stealth.
i've even booked a tennis court for DH and I this evening so i will eventually get out of this house and do something energetic this evening.

still feeling slovenly though.
what's a girl to do?

Lovely dress, DB

Rhubs, you made me lol with your follow-through

What's left on your list, DB ??

Dragonbutter · 25/07/2008 14:36

i should do something interesting with the children.
i should do some packing for the camping, but really we're only going for one night and not very far away so not sure why i have to do it now. i'm busy, erm, just sort of, well anyway, it's dull and i don't want to.
DH is in charge of packing the gear, i've do the clothes and food.
I need to organise some dinner for tonight so that we can play tennis at 8.30.

i was looking forward to the fact that i had nothing planned for today, just a catch up day, but am finding it very uninspiring.

and that damn baby keeps climbing out of his high chair onto the table instead of eating his lunch. so for now,i'm on standby to catch him every time he stands up.

and i should find some lunch for me too.

I really hate packing, it is the dullest job ever
I also hate those days where yu feel you've done nothing, looks like today will be one of those
dress is lovely though!

Dragonbutter · 25/07/2008 15:10

at least the lady thread is picking up.

The third sentence in your first post is ungrammatical. 'flounce' should have been followed by a comma not a full stop. You must 100 lines saying "I will learn the whole of Fowler and never make a mistake again" or be blacklisted from Mumsnet.

Let's see you then.

Dragonbutter · 25/07/2008 15:15

...but that's what copy, cut and paste was invented for.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 25/07/2008 15:18

Oi oi oi

Cake or Death then you will not have wasted your day

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2008 15:27

bored

Dragonbutter · 25/07/2008 15:28

DS1 has run across the room to see a lego man being tortured.
Maybe later.

Dragonbutter · 25/07/2008 15:34

How very f**king dare you broadcast filth to my child! That's it, I'm flouncing and there's nothing you can do to stop me!

Haaarrrrruuumpppppphhhh!

2shoesdscannowhearinstereo · 25/07/2008 15:52

Dragonbutter · 25/07/2008 15:54

yeah. still here.
think it'll take quite a bit to make me flounce for real.
I love it here.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 25/07/2008 16:35

Still here ??

Dragonbutter · 25/07/2008 16:36

yup

OP posts:
Dragonbutter · 25/07/2008 18:19

I did it. I went out.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2008 21:52

I have a clean kitchen and peeled and chopped carrots.
And I tidied our bedroom befre DH saw (DS's favourite game at the moment is "rip up leaflet")

Dragonbutter · 25/07/2008 21:58

yup, tidy house, early tea and a game of tennis (well, if you'd call it tennis, i play tennis in the style of a baseballer and send the ball way out of the court).
and got the food in for the camping.

i'll do the clothes in the morning. how hard can it be?

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2008 22:04

if you're only going for a night, not too bad
It's the unknown element of anything longer that I struggle with. Not to mention packing 16 pairs of knickers just in case, despite the fact that I haven't wet myself in ... ooh as long as I can remember.

Dragonbutter · 27/07/2008 19:27

yup, 5 pairs of knickers for one night away?????why do we do that?
