Sad to need a break

I really like MN and I've been very grateful for it many times
But of late I feel like there are so many utterly goady posters. People get deleted for saying totally anodyne things and threads/posters that seem to just commit to being as goady as possible continue.

I know it's just a forum and I know it's upsetting me so that's my sign it's time to take a break.

Take a break and then come back and take MN with a huge pinch of salt. I agree it's full of goady threads and posters.

I'm glad it's not in my imagination..and people seem to get deleted simply because the OP reported. There was a thread last week and lots of comments were deleted, but they were no more disrespectful than the goady OP

I find the lack of reading comprehension quite worrying. Don’t read the actual message, just pile on.

It’s never a bad idea to take a break from social media. Enjoy some real life as most people are pretty reasonable outside your front door.
