Can someone just very quickly explain to me what happend with the Alpha Mummy refugees, as I can't be bothered to read the whole thread but would really like to know...

They took part in a sex survey on their site, but then it was going to be published, and they were not happy. But now AlphaMummies have discussed a code of conduct so they're thinking of going back...

they flounced away from AM because they felt some sex survey they had participated in had been used without it being made clear that it would be published in Times.

They hung around nervously here for a bit holding hands and trying to decide whether we are cool enough to mix with.

AM have now apologised so they have flounced away again.

I thought they were a tad rude in their gracious intention to allow Mumsnet to host their high-quality 'semi-journalistic' writings until something better came along.

I was going to suggest they started their own scuttlebuggers-type thread called AlphaPosters.

I have to say when I read the beginning of that thread I did feel a bit as if a group of people I didn't know had come into my house, sat down in the living room and, without acknowledging me, started talking about other people I didn't know. it did not endear them to me particularly.

And how odd that Flouncers Corner came into existence just in time to host that piece of mass flouncing.
