I have been incredibly impressed with how you've handled the disablist threads the last few days. You are so articulate and confident. I'd be a quivering mess if anyone disagreed with me I think you made very good points and even if no one on the thread or at MNHQ responded, hopefully your comments will have made some of the disablist people think twice in future

I will really miss you please consider coming back in future. Hopefully MNHQ will respond properly to the disablism soon.

Candy, I haven't really come across you before apart from the last couple of days as I don't really get involved much on mn (even though I'm pretty sure I was stereotyped as someone who shouts on the sn board brigade posse - I've never posted on there :o) but I thought your posts were brilliant and insightful and you sound such a lovely lady. You were right, I'm afraid mn are wrong on this. I used to run disability and diversity training (I posted about this on another thread which was quickly deleted) for employees and I'm aghast really at what has happened here. There is nothing overt about saying you don't want to be exposed to certain groups of people I'm pretty sure the hounding of someone with a disability is considered a hate crime too But the thing I have found the most distasteful is the antagonizing of posters from threads to threads and the fact it's ignored because, well it sounded to me like, it's pc gorn mad . I can't be part of somewhere like this either, it's not the 70s anymore. Good luck with everything.
