Help! Bad advice and need to sort

Hi - looking for some advice about how to fix where we are.

A few weeks ago my daughter had a fish from a fair. I knew the small bowl it came with was inappropriate and she's always loved fish so I agreed to help her set up an aquarium. It was all a bit of a rush because we didn't want to keep the fish in the small bowl.

We did some research as well as asking at our local aquarium shop and thought an 80litre tank would be appropriate.

The aquarium advised that we could have up to four goldfish but may need to be prepared to move a couple out as they grew. They also advised Mollies would be appropriate tank mates! We ended up with four goldfish and five Mollies.

We asked for advice about setting up but the guy did not explain cycling or anything to us!

We soon realised the advice about the Mollies was completely wrong - we also had a major issue with the tank quality as my husband and daughter had misunderstood the filter instructions!

We've done a 90% water changed and sorted the filter issue so the water is a lot better - however, the Mollies have been bullying the goldfish something chronic so we are moving them out today and have managed to pick up a 65litre tank for them off Facebook.

We are going to need to cycle the tank with them in and one of them has died so we now have two males and two females left - I don't want to add more until the tank is fully cycled but I am worried about the ratio of m / f. We will probably also add a Betta fish later on.

Will this size be OK for say 8 Mollies and a Betta? Is there anything I can do about the ratio issue?

The four goldfish will remain in the 80litre tank for now - will this be OK for them for a while? What size should I be looking to upgrade to?

We would like to add some tankmates for company and interest - any advice on what would work well?

In hindsight I wish we'd done a lot more research first but we are we are so I'm really just looking for some help to fix things 😕
