Advice on water heater for coldwater fish please

Our coldwater fish like the tank to be a little above room temperature.

We have had two water heaters in the past, and both malfunctioned.

Can anyopne recommend a reliable make of water heater please?

What species are they?

With heaters, it's good to read recent reviews and they do need replacing every few years. I just had to replace mine in my 200L as my old one packed up. I went for the Fluval E Advanced, not the cheapest option BUT I love heaters that come with their own covers (I have a Siamese Algae Eater who likes to wedge himself behind them) and it will allegedly tell me if it's got an error or the tank is too cold.
