White cloud minnow lonely?

I have one surviving white cloud minnow sold to us as part of a group with new tank. He’s the sole survivor and lives with 6 cardinals, however I’m aware that they’re warm water and he’s not. So do I buy him some friends knowing it’s not ideal but he’s not lonely or leave him as he is. He’s eating active and appears happy, however he does try and shoal with my cardinals but they won’t shoal with him!

I don’t know a thing about fish, but that sounds really sad. Have you tried singing to him? Giving him atickle? Perhaps he’s just a bit of an introvert and gets annoyed by other fish. I feel I identify with your minnow. Fish massage? mercyforanimals.org/blog/study-shows-fish-enjoy-massage/
