Help. What's this in fish bum

Sorry for the rancid photo. But I've just noticed this hanging out of my goldfish bum. It's thick. Looks clear at the end and towards his bum it goes poo colour. What is it.. :/

So it's just come off. But before I had a chance to grab it with the net he ate it!!

Is it meant to be so clear and thick?

Fish poo should really be pretty much the colour of whatever you’ve fed them. If it’s clear, it’s said to be internal parasites that are robbing the fish of nutrition

An anti-parasite medication should be used
