Hello,
I bought 11 wcm minnows six years ago and they have proved very hardy and I still have 5 left. We started off with a 60l tank but I am wondering:
Can I safely reduce the size of the tank as we'll not be getting any more fish?
Also I am told that these fish need to be in groups of 6 or more as they are shoaling. Will they be miserable now I've only got 5 left and how long are they likely to live?

Thank you, advice very gratefully received

A group of 5 should be ok but I would be wary about reducing size. They are active little things and in more cramped confines in a smaller group are more likely to get a bit nippy with one another.

The best kind of set up for WCMM is a long tank with lots of current and surface movement. Like a fast flowing stream.
