I want to get a fish bowl and two goldfish for friends of mine.

I can't figure out if this fish bowl is suitable? Thoughts guys?

Is this fish bowl ok?

No, this is too small for one fish never mind 2, also there isn't much surface area at the top for oxygen as it is narrower at the top than the middle.

Does your friend want a pet fish?

Also there is no space for a filter in round bowls

No, no bowl is ever okay for goldfish. It’s such an old idea that they can go in little tanks. Goldfish need big tanks. They also need filters.

Goldfish aren’t the best gift to be honest, they grow so big they should end up in ponds at some point.

You could look at a Betta, and a setup about 15 litres min with a small heater and filter.

By way of comparison, OP, we have a 60-litre tank for zebra danios, which are much teenier than a full-grown goldfish.

Goldfish are big, messy, longlived fish (if you get the conditions right, anyway).

Do your friends definitely want fish? They can live a long time and be more work than they're really up for. I spent a lot of money getting my tanks set up!

Goldfish I would never recommend for beginners - grow huge, very messy, can live 15-20 years with proper care.

Not in a bowl that size they wouldn't.
