Missing fish

We have got home from holiday and one of the fantails has gone. Vanished. No sign anywhere. We have pulled everything out of the tank and nothing. Not in the filters, lid on so not jumped out. Very strange. Any ideas?

Possibly died and "tidied away" by the others? We only have mollies, guppies and algae eaters, (all veggie), but I've seen this happen I'm afraid
