Leaking fishtank

We have a largish tank , approx 15 years old, and it has developed a small leak.

Slightly panicking that it's going to burst before I can do anything.

The leak is approx 4" from the bottom on one of the side seams, and I have a cat fish in there that is approx a foot long that I really don't want to move to temporary accommodation.

With the age of the tank, is it worth trying to do a repair, and if so how, or should I just replace the tank? I need a new light hood for it, so that is making me wonder about a new tank but I'd rather not have to unless the experts think I should.

Please help a slightly frantic fish tank owner.

think i would get a new one just to be on the safe side - would hate to find them swimming around on the carpet one morning, alot of FB sites have very good second hand tank for sale.
