Got two small tropical snails in our tank (5 bloodfin tetra, 4 red stripey tetra with glowy eyes whose name I forget). Tank been running with fish v happily for some months. Added in the snails as we had quite an algae growth. If these are snsil eggs do I get an assassin snail? Or do the fish eat them? I don't want 100000 snails in my tank!

Are these snail eggs?

Oh dear, are they nerite snails? If so then yes, these are snail eggs and they are a bugger to remove and they are unsightly.

If you want rid of them for good you can get an assassin snail.

I'm not sure, they are brown and black twisty shells. The guy did say their name but I don't recall. I scraped the eggs off this stone with a spoon and the outside tap... Might do the same with the other affected stonex before they hatch. Bugger. Thanks for replying!

Yeah that sounds about right. Google the name and look at the pictures.
