Can/do goldfish eat WCMM?

I'm missing 3 of my new, small gold variety white cloud mountain minnow.

I'm looking at you, you greedy goldfish. Your mouth is big enough!

I've kept wcmm alongside goldfish/moors etc for years with no problems, but I'm thinking it must be a bit of a coincidence to lost THREE of the little ones seemingly overnight. And to have one of my normal grey ones be found half munched.

Everything in my tank looks happy and healthy, water levels are good. My stocking level is fine for the size (240L) of my tank.

So the goldfish is who I am blaming!

There's your answer right there- stick your goldfish in the naughty corner! Goldfish are OK with WCMM when they are babies, but a fully grown goldy will just see a little swimming buffet when they are put with WCMM. Can you separate them before you lose any more?

Possibly.

The grey ones are fully grown and safe, it's the little gold minnows that are disappearing with no reason. I've not seen any sign of predation habits but I don't watch it 24-7, obviously.

I could house the minnows in my quarantine tank until they are bigger, then reintroduce.
