8 yr old red cap. In 200ltr tank. Water etc all ok but been showing signs of swim bladder for last month or so. Tried peas, greens etc but last coupe of days hasn't eaten and been totally upside down and gasping and bloated.
Worried for the other fish, need maintanance clean but been putting off cos of poorly fish.
Is it time for humane euthanasia?

Have you tried any other treatments yet? Could be bacterial. He sounds pretty far gone but worth a go before you euthanise. If you can't get hold of antibiotics then try esha 2000 or Myxazin (it says fin rot and ulcers on the label but it works on general bacterial things so might help).

What do you mean by a maintenance clean?
