Is the weight of this tank safe..

..or will it come crashing through the suspended wooden living room floor.

Am looking to buy a new tank and found a great bargain on gumtree. Only thing is, it is big It is a 260ltr bow fronted tank and when filled and aquascaped we are probably looking at nearly 400 kilos.

We don't have a concrete floor so am rather worried about such a large weight concentrated on a relatively small space.

Or im I being too over cautious

Decision made. We bought it

Must have been a bargain I'd get a builder in to have a look maybe, just to be sure- it's pretty heavy.

Didn't buy it.

When we got there it was a dog of a tank.

The advert said in good condition and no water damage. Wrong on both counts. I hate gumtree. Sigh
