So excited Grin
Currently putting filtered water in, then will add a drop of the aqua stress coat. I'm going to get a plant today to see if I can keep it alive for a few days before getting 'Bob' the Betta

Shrimp are better for keeping the tank clean IME, but my current betta took rather a lot of interest in ours!

Lovely. A nice cruel fish in cycle.

I wouldn't put shrimp in a tank that small, they're very sensitive to poor water conditions.

Oh dear Sad.

When we started out we were sold a tiny tank ( 10ltr nano cube ), it was a nightmare, shop told me to set it up and come back in a few days for fish. The water started to smell after a week or so, I could not keep it clear, the filter on it was utter crap and we lost our first fish after a couple days. Thank to Eau and everyone else's advice on here we rushed out and bought a 2nd hand 60ltr tank on ebay and cycled the tank using 'quick start', we moved the remaining 2 fish into the new tank and continued to cycle it until we could add more fish. The nano cube tank went to the tip. We have had several tanks since and have kept betas in a 25 ltr tank. I now have a 200ltr and it's so much easier to look after than the tiny nano tank we first had.

Listen to Eau, what she's saying is correct, no betta should be kept in a tiny 7ltr tank, it would be like keeping a person in a tiny room containing their own poop.

How's Bob doing, OP?
