New fish tank in the DDs' bedroom

They did already have one but it had a homemade lighting system on and you had to unplug everything to get the lid off and clean it, so I decided to treat them to a new one.

So this is my £5.50 bargain, an Aquastart 500. It's 65 litres. I've got an Eheim Pickup filter that I got for £5 arriving soon and I'll bung loads of the plants from my 60 litre in there, and my friend needs a home for some of her guppy babies, so it'll cost next to nowt.

I'll post another photo when it's set up.

What a bargain Grin, I could do with setting up another tank ( or 5 ), my guppy population is getting out of hand and I'm getting 2 lots of bn pleco eggs every month. I don't like selling my fish as I worry they will go to bad homes but I think some of the pleco babies will have to go unless I can sneak another large tank into the house without dh noticing Grin.

Send your DH and DCs away for the weekend and convert your shed into a fish house while they're gone Grin

That's a good plan, I have just sold dd2's bike so the shed is looking rather empty Grin
