Platy fry

Have had a 60l tank for 10 months, a Betta, 3 danios, zebra snail, swordfish and a Platy (2 originally, 1 died after 6 weeks). We have 3 Platy fry, first noticed them 6 weeks ago. How do I rehome them and one of the parents? Much as I enjoy the little fellows, I'm worried about overcrowding. Thanks!

Fry are tricky to catch, so good luck! Give your local fish shop a call, they'll probably take them from you but I doubt you'll get anything for them as live bearers are cheap as chips and you only have a few.
Just a word of caution, if the beta is male it might get its long fins nipped by your other fish.
Also danios, swordtails and platys are all social fish and should be kept in species groups of 6 or more to avoid stress. If you're worried about over crowding your fish shop should be able to pick out just males or just females for you, if they won't then take your custom elsewhere.
