Bought a filter for my new tank which came yesterday, set it up in the new tank last night and most of the fitting on it would not fit, went to fit the sprinkler bit onto it today and water went everywhere, all the tubes were split 
. So i set it up with out the sprinkler but it seems way too powerful for my tank, the poor fish are getting bashed around, listing stated 'suitable for 90ltr-200ltr (my tank is 140ltr). I have now had to take it out so i now only have my stingray 10 (which is for a 55ltr tank).
Will my tank be ok with this for a few days?
What filter do i need? (nothing too powerful).
Wont be buying cheap on e-bay again .
