right, I have got my filter working. I managed to take out the sponge bit and the 3 boxes and gave them all a clean. I have taken out my other filter and it is just the bio box filtering. looking in my tank there is dirt on the gravel, poo sat on bottom of the tank no being filtered up! why is this and what can I do to fix this?

also for some reason the water goes green really quickly, I bought some solution to clear it, but it has not helped so far.

my tank is not overpopulated and is 150L.

Did you check and clean the impeller?

Green water is caused by excess nutrients and light- try checking the phosphate and nitrate levels.

It's like a tiny little fan attached to the motor, sometimes they get clogged.
