Empty biorb

We inherited a 30L biorb which had 2 goldfish in it in may . After doing some research and finding out biorb + goldfish= bad we rehomed the fishes into my friends garden pond where they will have enough space . Is there anything that will happily live in this biorb or am I wasting my time with it ? It does look nice but I don't want to give some poor fish a miserable life with no space and rubbish filtration

30 litres is too small really for any fish- how about a couple of cherry shrimp? Or you could just put some real plants in, it would make a nice change from a bunch of flowers in a vase.

Get rid of it and get a square tank , yes biorb's look nice but theres not much you can put in them, you can stil get a nice looking square tank 60ltr+ and have a few nice fish.

it is twaddle that biorbs are no good for small goldfish, thousands of people round the world keep them in it.

If it is cold water (i.e. no heater) you could put a shoal of cloud mountain minnows in and they will live quite happily.

If it is heated then you can go wrong again with a nice shoal of small fish such as neon tetras or some guppies.

It is not twaddle. For a start there is no such thing as 'small goldfish'. There are young goldfish that grow very quickly and develop health problems if not kept in the right environment- by the time the health problems are visible then the damage is done.

Just because thousands of people do something, does that make it ok? How many people have even seen a fully grown healthy goldfish? There aren't many around.
